Jason Arkell-Boles is a Canadian filmmaker, artist, and storyteller known for his deeply personal and experimental work. His projects explore themes of identity, anxiety, social alienation, and the Canadian experience, often challenging conventional narratives. A graduate of Capilano University with a Bachelor of Motion Picture Arts, he furthered his expertise with a certificate in Transmedia Storytelling from VIA University College in Denmark.
His upcoming debut short film, Mouse!, is an experimental drama set in East Vancouver that examines unemployment and social isolation. It is set for a festival run throughout late 2025 and early 2026.
He has worked extensively in film production, contributing to the art department of projects like The Monkey and Seagrass. As a columnist for the Capilano Courier, he explores Canadian identity in art and film. His background in transmedia storytelling allows him to craft narratives across multiple platforms, creating immersive experiences.
